FCMB Launches Education Advisory Services for Overseas Studies

Leading financial services provider, First City Monument Bank (FCMB), on Thursday, May 31, 2018 unveiled a scheme tagged, ‘’FCMB Education Advisory Service’’. This service would ensure convenient and affordable education support for its customers or their children who desire to study abroad and obtain undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. The support includes overseas admission information services, school fees remittance, school living allowances and travel fares, loans to support school fees payments, visa process, travels and examination preparation. Access to customers and other aspiring candidates is said to be available on FCMB website with branches where operational desks are currently located, listed. It is part of the Bank’s contributions towards developing a new generation of brilliant minds that would take Nigeria to the next level. NOUN solicits 1m learning tablets Chinese partners to improve education The National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN) on Monday solicited from its Chines partners, one million learning tablets to advance online education in the institution. Prof. Abdalla Adamu, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of NOUN, solicited for the support at a 5-day opening ceremony regional workshop on Using Online Learning and Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) to Promote Quality Higher Education in Abuja. The workshop was organised by UNESCO in collaboration with NOUN and other partners with 35 participants drawn from Sierra Leone, Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Benin Republic, Nigeria and other West African countries. JAMB Announces Cut-off For 2019 Admission EDUCATION

  Prof. Is'haq Oloyede , Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, (JAMB)   The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) has announced its cut -off mark for 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination ( UTME ) admission. The Board held a policy meeting with universities and other tertiary institutions across the country on Tuesday to decide the cut-off marks for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2019/2020 academic session. Recall that the board yesterday released another 15,490 results of candidates who were suspected of being involved in examination infraction. The 19th Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria approved 160 and above as the national minimum benchmark for admission for the year 2019 into public universities. The Board also approved 140 as minimum UTME score for admission into private universities and 120 for public polytechnic, while 110 score was approved as the least score for admission into private ...
